Andy passed away peacefully from natural causes in Oakville, Ontario, September 17, 2014. He was born in St. John, New Brunswick on August 18, 1922, the son of the late Jonathan Harper Henderson and his wife Alice. He is survived by his sister Marilyn Pearson of Seattle, Washington and his four children – David and his wife Lucie; Gwenyth; Cheryl and her husband Edward; Deborah. He was a loving grandfather to Tim, Sandy, Jon and Meghan and four great grandchildren Caitlin, Lachlan, James and Florence. He was predeceased by his wife Olive and his grandson Kevin McLeod. Andy was a registered professional engineer and a Mason as well as a member of St. Margaret’s United Church, Telephone Pioneers of America, Order of the Eastern Star, Shriners and Royal Canadian Legion (serviced in the Air Force 1943-46). The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street), Kingston, Ontario on Friday September 26, for a memorial service to be held in “The Chapel On The Corner” at 1 p.m. A reception will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
