<div itemprop="description">Hamilton (Sonnenberg), Edward Stanley &ldquo;Ted&rdquo; <br /> <br />Passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in his 83rd year. Born in Guelph, Ontario on July 9, 1933, Ted joined the Army at 17 years old and retired at 50, in 1983. He had various postings in Ontario and travelled to many places around the world. He will be mostly remembered for his love and commitment to his family. <br /> <br />He was raised by the loving Dolby family, Clara Belle and George, growing up with brothers Donny, George and Jack, and loved them all fiercely. <br /> <br />Ted is predeceased by his son Bradley and daughters Cathy and Jennifer as well as by his natural parents, Ivey Hamilton and Stanley Sonnenberg. Ted was a ward of the Children's Aid shortly after he was born. <br /> <br />He was loved and will be missed by his family: his wife Doreen, children Ed, Jamie, Elizabeth, Cyndy (Clyne), Andy, Lisa and Laura Lee. His grandchildren: Lee, Christopher, Joshua (Breanne), Jessica, Amy, (Brian), Cameron (Karlena), Clara Lee, Alex (Jesse), Jamal, Joseph and Julia. Great grandchildren: Sylvia, Brittany, Emma, Haley, Hannah, Elijah, Lauren and Lawlor and extended family members Sanca, Doug, Jan and Nolan; and many nieces and nephews and friends. <br /> <br />A very special thank you to all the staff at Arbour Heights Long Term Care Residence. <br /> <br />A Celebration of Life will be held at the ROBERT J. REID &amp; SONS FUNERAL HOME - The Chapel on the Corner, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Monday, March 21st from 2 - 4 p.m. with Words of Remembrance beginning at 2:30 p.m. This celebration is public, everyone is welcome to attend. <br /> <br />As expressions of sympathy, please consider a donation to your local Children's Aid Society.</div>
