Annette Marie Corrigan
Annette, born June 23, 1964 and raised in Kingston, died peacefully in her sleep on April 4, 2016. Her sister, Maureen, and Scott from her L’Arche family were by her side and for that we are truly grateful. Predeceased by parents Frank (Francis Joseph) and Joan (Roberta Joan, nee Moher), and by her brother, Dennis (Mary Jane), she was loved and cherished by sisters Mary Ellen (John), Maureen, and Jane (Lino), her brothers Francis (Susie), Owen (Anne), and John (Tracey), and many grateful nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a special friend to Guyat Beckers, Jack Tripper, Victor Newman, and Ivan. A heartfelt thank you to Candace, Scott, Katie, Bernice and all of Annette’s L’Arche family; your friendship, support and compassion over the last 23 years will always be appreciated. Gratitude to Jean Vanier for creating such communities.

Annette was born with a big heart and a spirit that was ready to celebrate every moment in life, especially through music and dance. We are all blessed for her presence in our lives, and the joy and laughter she brought us. We thank the health care workers of Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital for their compassionate service during our sister’s last weeks.

The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons, “The Chapel on the Corner”, 309 Johnson Street, Kingston from 7-9 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Church on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 12:30 pm. Interment following at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers you may wish to make a donation to L’Arche Arnprior in Annette’s name. Or, you may wish to treat someone to chocolate chip pancakes at the Truckstop Restaurant and leave a big tip. Or you may wish to sponsor someone’s tap dancing lessons. Or you may wish to smile and say hello to everyone you pass today. And tomorrow. And the day after that.
