Eileen Spirydowicz
Spirydowicz, Eileen Joan - died with much grace at Rideaucrest, Kingston on April 2, 2014. Born February 12, 1922 in Birkenhead, England, daughter of Mary and James Victor Brunskill. Eileen was very proud of her service in England during World War II as a wireless operator in the Womens’ Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF). In 1952, she came to Canada with her husband, Edmund and their two young children, settling in Edmonton. For many years, she was a much valued school secretary for the Edmonton Separate School Board. In 2009, she moved to Kingston where she resided for five pleasant years at Elizabeth Cottage. Eileen is survived by her two daughters, Krysia and Zuzia. Visitation will take place at the Robert J. Reid and Sons Funeral Home 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Friday, April 4th from 5 to 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, April 5th at St. James Chapel, St. Mary’s Cathedral. Rite of Committal with prayers to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation or Catholic Missions in Canada.
