Velma Vosper

Gently, with the setting of the evening sun on Sunday, December 7th, Velma Mae Vosper found the peace she had sought through a brief illness. Velma’s light and love were shared with so many, and with spectacular enthusiasm and joy she encouraged all who came within her glow to share their own light with the world. She will live forever within the hearts of those she loved and will continue to brighten the world through the love and beauty she inspired in her children, Martha (Ron Fenwick – deceased), Gretta (Scott et al), Rebecca (Janice), and Tom (Nicole), grandchildren, Hazel (Matthew – he’s a keeper), Jackson, Lilyan, Izaak, Tess, Moira, Scarlet, and Eden, and great grandchildren Hudson and Elliott.

The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons, “The Chapel on the Corner” on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 7-9pm. A celebration of Velma’s life will be held at Sydenham Street United Church, 82 Sydenham Street, on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please support one of Velma’s many passions – the education and care of young children (Almost Home, St. Lawrence College Early Childhood Education program, or a similar charity of your choice); or nursing (Queen’s University School of Nursing, Kingston General Hospital, or a similar charity of your choice).
