Peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday April 11, 2016 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee: Dynes).
Dear father of Lynnda King (Robin) and Bryan Stevens (Cyndi). Cherished grandfather of Lindsey and Scott King, and Alexander and Samantha Stevens. Fondly remembered by sister Dorothy Jay (Malcolm) of Halifax, niece Kathleen, nephew Lance and their children. A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Kingston General Hospital-Kidd 6 and St. Mary’s of the Lake for their compassion, outstanding care and support given to our family. Eric was a retiree of Northern Telecom, avid sportsman, coach and an enthusiastic Lions Club Member for 37 years.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be held at the Robert J. Reid & Sons “The Chapel on the Corner”, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Monday April 18, 2016 with a Lion’s service commencing at 1pm and words of remembrance to follow. Private family interment at Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Quebec at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides or the District A3 Lions –Vision Screening would be appreciated.
