Amey, Shirley (née Wilkinson)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 after a brief illness, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late William “Bud” Amey. Loving mother of Randy Amey (Linda) and Pam Guthrie (Wayne). Grandmother of Rachel Dodge (Kevin) and Justin Amey (Amy); great-grandmother of Bentley Amey. Sister of Evelyn Twigg (the late Arthur) and Joyce Bellringer (Donald). Predeceased by her brother Donald Wilkinson. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place under direction of the Robert J. Reid and Sons Funeral Home - “The Chapel on the Corner” 309 Johnson Street. Private interment of ashes will take place at Cataraqui Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Shirley to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation - Southeastern Ontario Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
