Wilderspin, Dr. Kenneth, M.D., FRCPC.
1927 - 2014
Passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2014. Beloved husband of Rosemary, loving father of children Susan and John and grandfather of Emma, Iain, Amy, John, Mark, Tristen and Pipsy. Kenneth was born in London, England and served in the Royal Navy in WWII. This led to a grant enabling him to study medicine at Guy’s Hospital, London where he graduated in 1955. After a short career in Family Medicine he trained in Radiology in London and emigrated to Canada in 1966 where he was appointed Radiologist at the Henderson Hospital, Hamilton. He later had a co-lateral appointment on the medical faculty at McMaster University, and remained in Hamilton until retirement in 1988. In Hamilton he confirmed his love for sailing which he had discovered as a student. In retirement he took several extensive cruises in his sail boat a Nonsuch 30 with Rosemary, both south and around Kingston where they had retired. He was active at the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes for many years and enjoyed participation in the Kingston Power and Sail Squadron events.

A celebration of Kenneth's life will take place at Robert J. Reid and Sons "The Chapel on the Corner", 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 at 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Marine Museaum of the Great Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
