Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday June 8, 2015 in his 87th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Ardina (Ina). Cherished husband of Carmel. Dear father of Rob and his wife Joanna, Gerry and his wife Nina, John, Joanie and her husband Rick Sagriff and Mary Jane. Proud Opa of Sarah, Jonathan, Mary Elizabeth, Maria, Mikey, Max, Maggie, Abbey, Grace, Paul, Ben, Emmett, Isabelle, and Tim. Survived by his sister Grada (in Holland), predeceased by his 12 brothers and sisters.
There are very few fields, arenas, courts or gymnasiums in Kingston that John had not visited. His greatest pleasure was watching his children and grandchildren compete in their various activities.
Private family visitation. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at St. John the Apostle Church, 88 Patrick Street on Thursday June 11, at 1 p.m. Rite of Committal with Prayers to Follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial Donation, for those wishing, may be made to Paul Halligan Bursary.
The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Davis 3, and St. Mary's of the Lake Gibson 3 for their wonderful care.
