<div itemprop="description">STALKER, Harriette Emma RN (nee Trawin) - April 20, 1930 - November 14, 2015. Harriette was born in Port Hope, Ontario, the eldest of three children of Ivy and Harold Trawin. After graduating from Port Hope High School she enrolled in 1950 in the Atkinson School of Nursing of the Toronto Western Hospital. She graduated in 1953 and joined the hospital nursing staff. In 1956 Harriette married John Stalker MD 5T4. They lived in Copper Cliff, Ontario for two years; Toronto for three years, during which time their first two children Catherine and Ian were born; then a return to Copper Cliff / Sudbury for nine years and the addition to the family of a second daughter, Linda. The final move was to Kingston, Ontario in 1968. Harriette was devoted to her family, her husband, her three children and four grandchildren. Whenever possible she attended events in which they were performing. She took pride in their efforts whether successful or not. Harriette always looked forward to welcoming the family home at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving, and during the summer at the family cottage on Eagle Lake. Apart from activities with the family Harriette enjoyed among other interests, travel and bridge. She was an active member of St. John's Anglican Church, Portsmouth and throughout her life was active in volunteerism in her community. Harriette suffered a fatal brain haemorrhage on November 13, 2015. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, John; her daughters Catherine (Ted McClelland) and Linda (Michael Ansara) and son Ian; her grandchildren Meagan and Andrew McClelland and Abigail and Molly Ansara; her sister Norma Gordon, her brother Robert Trawin (Verna) and her sister-in-law Olga Matthews (John) and many nieces and nephews. We are sorry to say good-bye but are grateful for her love and wisdom for all these years. A visitation will be held Wednesday November 18, 2015 from 7-9 pm at ROBERT J. REID &amp; SONS FUNERAL HOME at 309 Johnson St., Kingston, Ontario. A private funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Harriette's name to a charity of choice.</div>
