<div itemprop="description">George John Johnson <br /> <br />October 12 1928 - September 4th 2014 <br /> <br />It is with heartfelt sadness that after living a &ldquo;wonderful life&rdquo; that his children announce the passing of their father George Johnson. <br />George was born in Polianemos, Greece where he grew up as the youngest of 4 children, he was predeceased by his brother Nick and leaves behind his sisters Athena and Kostantina. He later came to Canada where he married our mother Mary, lived and raised their loving family in Kingston. After the loss of his wife he moved and retired in Cobourg Ontario to be closer to his children and grandchildren. <br />He will be forever loved and remembered by daughters Kathy Johnson (Kosta), Elizabeth Cortesis (Michael), son John Ioannou (Stella). Loved and adored by granddaughters Paris , Elaine (Matt) , Meropi, Georgia, grandsons Peter (Karla), Alex and also great grandchildren Jordan and Elora . <br />Our father will reunite with our mother Mary in heaven where they will live together for eternity. Till we meet again Mom &amp; Dad. We all love you and you will always be in our hearts. <br />Many thanks to the staff at Northumberland and Sunnybrook Hospitals for looking after our father. <br /> <br />The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid &amp; Sons, &quot;The Chapel on the Corner&quot;, 309 Johnson Street, (at Barrie Street), Kingston on Tuesday September 9th from 6 &ndash; 9pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church, 121 Johnson Street, Kingston on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 11:00 am. For those wishing, memorial donations to Sunnybrook Hospital would be appreciated.</div>
