MILLAR, Kenneth G (1935-2012).
On 9 October, at St Mary's of the Lake, after a nine-month battle with cancer, Dr Kenneth Millar, Scottish-Canadian gynecologist at Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospital. Dear husband of Mary, father of Ann and Keith (Kecia), Papa of Hannah and Logan. Cremation has taken place. By his request, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UHKF (St Mary's of the Lake or the Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario), or to the Kingston Humane Society. The family would like to thank the Community Care Access Centre, Cathy Lindsay and the CanCare nurses, Dr Chris Booth and his team at the Cancer Centre of South-Eastern Ontario, Dr Ivan Stewart and Dr Natalie Kondor of Palliative Care, and the nursing staff in the palliative unit at St Mary's. Our deep gratitude also to the kind friends and neighbours who gave constant support, brought food and comfort, and helped in so many ways. Funeral arrangements in the care of Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Directors, “The Chapel on the Corner”, 309 Johnson Street.
